When employees are actively engaged in managing their health risks, they benefit from improved health and enhanced quality of life, their employers benefit from increased productivity and job satisfaction, and everyone benefits from more manageable costs. A key challenge comes in getting and maintaining employee engagement in programs that can improve health and productivity and decrease absenteeism and presenteeism.
Drawing on the Integrated Benefit Institute’s recent research with 500 employers on incentives they use to improve health and productivity, as well as additional research and trends, this session will examine the challenges employers face and describe some of the solutions that have worked. Learn how effective incentives – and disincentives – coupled with a comprehensive communication strategy, can increase well-being, improve health and lead to gains in job performance. Discover how personalized programs that offer employer and employee flexibility and support employee engagement can be key drivers of targeted behavior change.
